January 22 to 23 — Knowledge Channel’s LEEP Team, with facilitators Dr. Fe Hidalgo, Dr. Lolita Andrada, and Cris Anthony Gonzales, conducted a Learning Effectively through Enhanced Pedagogies (LEEP) training in San Pablo Central Elementary School. 46 teachers and 14 principals from different schools in San Pablo City participated in the training. During her welcome remarks, Rina Lopez Bautista, Knowledge Channel Foundation President said that the LEEP training was developed to assist the teachers in implementing K-12 in the classroom. Key to the implementation is the leadership of the Principal.
To help students and teachers prepare for the annual National Achievement Test (NAT), K Channel has started airing NAT reviewers or shows with topics that are normally asked in the said examination. NAT is a set of standardized tests addressing the major subjects taught in school. It is yearly administered by Department of Education’s National Educational Testing and Research Center (NETRC). This year, it will be given to Grades 3 and 6 and 4th year high school students to test their knowledge and mastery of level-appropriate Mathematics, Science, Communication Skills, and Araling Panlipunan.
